The park is open year-round. Summer (December to March) is the best time for peak waterfall flow and glow worm activity. Winter offers clearer days for viewing the Gold Coast skyline from Canyon Lookout. The plateau is significantly cooler than the coast, so bring warm layers.

Practical advice
Preparation is essential for Springbrook. Drinkable water is not available at most trailheads. Pack sturdy, enclosed shoes, as the rainforest tracks get muddy and slippery year-round. Insect repellent is necessary, but you must apply it well before arrival so the chemicals do not harm the glow worms.
Remember that domestic animals are banned from the national park, except for certified assistance dogs. Stay on the designated walking tracks to avoid damaging the delicate vegetation.
