Explore
The Springbrook Plateau sits 990 metres above sea level and contains the park's highest lookouts and longest walking circuits.
This elevated section of the national park is home to dramatic volcanic gorges and ancient Antarctic beech forests. Walkers will find multiple circuits ranging from short 600m walks to longer 4km return hikes.
Because of the altitude, the plateau is significantly cooler than the Gold Coast. Bring warm clothing layers and a reusable water bottle, as drinking water is not provided at most trailheads.
