The Natural Bridge section of Springbrook National Park features a distinct rock archway. It is home to Australia's largest colony of bioluminescent glow-worms.
This area sits in the protected Gondwana rainforest, roughly 100km south of Brisbane and 30km west of the Gold Coast. Entry to the park is completely free. Visitors walk a 1km circuit track to reach the cave.
By day, you can view the rock arch and waterfall. At night, the cave walls light up with glow-worms. You cannot swim in Cave Creek, as it damages the delicate microbat and glow-worm habitat.

Cave Creek plunges through the roof of a basalt cave, creating a waterfall inside the dark chamber. Visit during daylight hours to see the rock formation clearly. The viewing platforms give you a direct line of sight into the cave.

After sunset, the cave ceiling lights up with thousands of tiny glow-worms. You must use a red-light torch to navigate in the dark. Flash photography and white lights are strictly prohibited because they stop the insects from glowing.

This 1km sealed circuit winds through subtropical rainforest and leads directly into the cave. It is a Grade 2 track suitable for most walkers. Stay on the designated path to avoid damaging vegetation and causing erosion.
